OFF-ROAD GOLF® SCORING

Each hole has a predetermined “Par” which is set by the course owner/builder.

The par for each hole is determined by distance (generally 30’ to 60’), difficulty of the terrain (hills, bumps, rocks) and any obstacles (trees, bushes, stumps, etc.).

The minimum “Par” is 3 and the maximum par is 5. Each kit includes a sheet of “Par” stickers to be applied to each Flag by the course owner/builder.

If a hole has a predetermined Par of 3 (in other words, if you are good golfer) then you should be able to get your ball into the hole in 3 strokes.

If, for instance, you take 5 strokes to get the ball into the hole, then you are 2 strokes over par, or +2.

The person with the overall least number of strokes over the entire 10 holes wins the game.

Mallet Handle built-in scorekeeping device:

The middle of each Off-Road Golf® Mallet Handle has a built-in Scorekeeping device.

The built-in Scorekeeping device tracks your score in relation to “Par.”

You start the game with your marker set in the middle, at zero (0).

If you shot over-par then you move your marker into the RED.

If you shoot under-par then you move your marker into the GREEN.

EXAMPLE:

If you hit the ball 5 times before making it into the hole, on a Par 3, then you have shot 2 over “Par”, or (+2).

Move your marker from the middle, at zero (0), two grooves into the RED.

If you hit the ball 2 times before making it into the hole, on a Par 3, then you have shot 1 under “Par”, or (-1).

Move your marker from the middle, at zero (0), one groove into the GREEN.

If you prefer to keep score on a traditional scorecard, you can download them at www.off-roadgolf.com.
